Concentric Tube Heat Exchanger ApparatusA clear acrylic tube containing cold water surrounds an inner stainless steel tube in which the hot water flows. Total heat transfer area of approximately 24000mm2. Six thermocouples measure hot and cold inlet, mid-point and exit temperatures.
Self sealing quick release connections enable rapid connection to and conversion from parallel to counter current flow. An extended version with 3 pairs of intermediate points and a total of 10 thermocouples is also available .
